Tom Martin has been an emergency physician for over 30 years. He currently works at the Providence Portland Medical Center. He developed an interest in global medicine while he was working in Honduras at the mobile clinics after the country was devastated by Hurricane Mitch in 1998. Since then he had served on medical teams working in Africa, Central America and the city of Mazar-i-Sharif in Afghanistan. He enjoys the opportunity to meet people from different cultures and share resources while learning more about this amazing world we live in together.
